
Outlaw Rum prides itself on being the world's first rum to be matured in former whisky casks. Its Highland Release, in particular, is matured and finished in former Highland and Bourbon casks. The premium rum, aged for up to 10 years, is distilled by the award-winning Angostura Distillery, and its rums are sought after by aficionados and collectors across the world. Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Sweet caramel, vanilla, with a subtle hint of toffee, melding into some wood and oakiness with a slight hint of sherry at the end.
- Palate: Exceptionally smooth beginning of caramel, vanilla with some toffee and honey. Citrus then appears with Portugal satsuma orange zest, leading into coconut and creamy butter notes with a hint of baking spice and raisin.
- Finish: Herbal root, possibly ginseng, combined with mild liquorice, stewed pineapple, custard, and mild citrus. Not excessively sweet.
